Après Isabelle Adjani il y a dix ans, on peut se réjouir qu'une femme soit présidente du festival de Cannes cette année : Isabelle Huppert a accepté d'être la présidente du 62° festival de Cannes qui aura lieu du 13 au 24 Mai 2009.
 On peut aussi regretter en tant que fan que ce ne soit pas Robert de Niro qui avait clairement laissé entendre l'année dernière qu'il serait volontiers candidat.
Après le charismatique bad boy Sean Penn, président en 2008, poursuivi par les photographes, cette année promet d'être nettement plus calme aux alentours du tapis rouge pour les aller et retour du jury avec cette grande actrice française discrète à la trajectoire professionnelle parfaite qui n'a jamais cherché le feu des projecteurs ailleurs que sur les plateaux de cinéma.

"A cybergothic Wizard of Oz and antlers made of Scottish tartan rule the catwalks as Gareth Pugh and House of Holland show their latest creations at London Fashion Week.
The eagerly anticipated fashion show of Gareth Pugh didn't disappoint as the so-called bad boy of British fashion wowed the amassed crowd.
He said his autumn/winter 2008 collection was inspired by Dorothy Gale and the Wizard of Oz troupe albeit made of his signature leather and feathers.
Tartan was everywhere at the first solo show of British fashion's "it" boy Henry Holland and his label, the House of Holland, at London Fashion Week.
Loud applause greeted model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn when she closed the show wearing a tartan layered wedding dress with transparent veil and antlers atop her cropped, blonde hair.
One of the most anticipated shows at this years London Fashion Week is Vivienne Westwood's return to London after a nine-year absence.
